I think perhaps they expect the beauty to be the wow factor, but for a really great hotel, other amenities should be stepped up a notch. The wine was quite difficult to choose from, and the servers were not that helpful in pairing wine with specific dishes. They were great at recommending specific bottles, but if you aren't going to... More

I had the pleasure of visiting the Farm at Cape Kidnappers in the beginning of May 2012. The first impression was very good and kept so during the whole of the stay. A had a nice room, with a splendid view. This is a very nice place, a place to come for relaxation and for thinking. You are very well... More

It is impossible to fault anything about this beautiful property. The 6000 acres of farmland, the wonderful golf course and the exquisite lodge make for a sublime holiday experience. We were there in April and the staff were attentive, friendly and anticipated our every need. The Hilltop Suite was beautiful, warm and comfortable, with plenty of room and a divine... More

The Farm at Cape Kidnappers is situated high upon the hills of New Zealand, overlooking acres of deep green fields and, eventually, the ocean. I have never had such an overall fantastic stay. The rooms are huge yet cozy, the bathrooms incredibly well done (with showers bigger than my own bathroom at home) and the food… well, the food will... More

We revisited The Farm for the annual Mission Concert, and were delighted with the significant improvements since our last stay! I wrote a review for the forum after our first stay and most of the negatives related to food/beverage and the value for money the lodge offered; today I am delighted to report that these concerns have been attended to.... As we end our New Zealand excursion this year, we again we stayed at Cape Kidnappers to be sheerly delighted by the entire experience. It has been just over 3 years since our last visit and the property itself has matured very well, yet the individual lodges are still immaculate. The staff anticipated our every need, including excellent afternoon teas... More

Absolutely wonderful lodge. The farmhouse chic decor is warm and welcoming. And the staff matches. Everyone on the staff is warm, friendly and interested in making sure you have a great experience. The food and service was excellent. The quad biking with Aidan was great was to see the property and scenery while having great fun. The stop at the... More

First with the positives. The lodge was the most visually stunning of the three properties. The rooms were very comfortable and more rustic than Kauri. Cape Kidnappers golf course was far too demanding for us amateurs and in that sense we preferred Kauri for golfing pleasure and also views. The ATV and Kiwi experience trips were worthwhile although the Gannet... More

At first I could not quite get over the price of this place, but you are really paying for the secluded location and privacy.  Hard to comprehend for a person like myself from Hong Kong the size of this place except that at 6000 acres, this place is 35x the size of Ocean Park in HK, 1 of our largest amusement...
