The Bofors Hotell in Karlskoga is truly a unique hotel that takes you back to an earlier period of time. Everything in this property exudes authenticity and class. The rooms are outfitted with period furnishings and appear exactly as they would 75 years ago, except for a few modern amenities such as a plasma television in the presidential suite.

I had the opportunity to see three different rooms during my stay. The room I had on my first evening was what I would consider a standard room with two single beds and a very nicely appointed bath. A colleague of mine was privileged to stay in the presidential suite which had a living area for entertaining, another room for a large bed and another small powder room for getting dressed.

The hotel exemplifies a high degree of class and sophistication in all the small details many hotels overlook.
