Of the 2 places in Mexico and 1 in the Dom rep we've vacationed in this was our best vacation to date. If you expect red carpet treatment and the finest of everything this is probably not the place for you though. Our room was nice and clean with a nice view of the ocean. The large tub/shower didn't have... More

We were very satisfied with our one bedroom ocean view suite until we discovered, by accident, that our key opened other rooms - many other rooms. Management seemed to know about it when we reported this security breach, but they gave us no reassurance and did not fix the problem during the 6 remaining days of our stay. More

We were told its on the beach. Wrong No beach. there was no activities going on. the place was dead. Not friendly. You have to have a car or you are trapped. If it rains by the golf course your car gets stuck do to flutting. People were stuck in the middle of the night and there was no one... More

We had stayed at the Sapphire many times when it was a Wyndham property. We were concerned when we learned that it was now independent. But no worries. We just returned from Apr 24-May 3 and were pleased to see that it is actually cleaner now than before. Keep in mind that it is an island hotel; so certain kitchen... More

The resort was pretty nice save for a few minor details. My husband and I's room was large and had a beautiful view of the hills of the island. The bathrooms are clean and well taken care of. The air conditioning works great which was definitely needed. Our room was cleaned every day. The activities director was very informative and... More

Back for another visit. Resort is getting kind of run down... but still wonderful! Maid service every day - rooms were clean but kitchen needs updating. Pool area was well kept, pool was beautiful - but the hot tub was broken. This year there was a small beach, too. Can't fault the resort. That's the nature of weather and tides.... More

Just left the Sapphire after my 5th stay there in 8 years. After the first stay, I was only picking this timeshare property for the location - never for the actual condition of the property or god forbid the service from the staff. Things have changed now that the property is no longer a Wyndham. This time, when I opened... More

This the was the worst place I've every stayed. It all started w/check in. We knew it wasn't untill 4pm but had to be out of the Alamanda by noon (great place except for the beds) so we made our way cross island. We where told that our room would be availble @ 2pm, so we headed out to the... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Sapphire a few years ago, and were - at first - assigned a very small unit on the ground floor by the parking lot. I was NOT happy. The next day, we asked if we could upgrade to a larger unit, and were told to check back after all that week's check-ins had arrived... More
