First of all Wyndham owns this property and they took their name off of it because they get so much bad publicity and the place is the biggest dump and mismanaged property on the planet earth. My wife and I made a reservation over new years for a 7 day stay. I confirmed our reservation online and phone call 5... More

We have owned a timeshare here since 1992,& come back every year. It was the best in its first years. Wyndham has bought in , so now it is a hotel too. The location is on Cupecoy Beach, but there is hardly any beach left, so you can leave the resort to walk to Cupecoy or a short drive to... More

When we went on the website to look at this hotel we were pretty excited, however, when we arrived we were pretty disappointed. Our safe in our room was constantly malfunctioning, the room was hardly cleaned up & there was NO beach! Ok...I can understand that when it is hurricane season the beach will get washed away from storms, BUT,... More

We were at the Sapphire Beach Resort from Jan 7-Jan14, 2012. We did an exchange thru RCI into a two bedroom. There had been so many lousy reviews that I was very worried about what it would be like. I contacted the resort myself and asked many questions, trying to get the truth about what to expect. She was very... More

I have stayed at the Sapphire twice in 12 years and I would recommend it. The rooms are large. Front desk was welcoming and friendly, especially Jose and Josh. I like the destination given that it is located between my two favorite beaches (cupacoy and Mullet) and it is on the bus route. It is not ideal without a car... More

Hotel was OK for the package price, but had plenty of problems. Quite dated. Shower was cold, hot tub in room was cold. Reserved two rooms--put us in one with two sleeping "areas" because hotel was full. Definitely not ideal. Beach was pretty much non-exsistent. Not much for restaurants, bar service OK, but closes very early. Location was good, however.... More

We have been to St Martin about 8 times now and this was the first time at the Sapphire. We were certainly leery about booking here after reading some pretty negative reviews. I have to say we are very happy we took the leap of faith and stayed here 9 - 16 Dec 2011. We had a deluxe studio ocean... More

We stayed 3 nights at Sapphire. We did have some issues checking in on Xmas eve. Our room was not ready and had to wait for housekeeping, but the staff made it up by comp'ing free wifi. The resort is secluded so you definitely need a car to get around. Just a mile or so to the south is the... More

I have owned at this property for 20 plus years. Each year it goes down more. Had to change units because doors didn't lock, safe didn't work and a host of other complaints. The property needs a huge infusion of cash. A special assessment was charged to the owners about five years ago. Doesn't look like much of it was... More

After reading the reviews here I expected the worst and was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at Sapphire. Pros: Very large rooms that are cleaned very well by the staff. The beach has returned (comes and goes depending on storms that year) albeit it is small and there are no chairs. The pool area is large enough to accommodate everyone,... More
