The room : humidity, noisy (neighbourg), expensive, nobody at réception, wifi sometimes only .... The bed is not confortable, the breakfast is not fully reassorted every day, the hot water for the shower is not garanted, mine was as Cold as the river. 2 advantages : coffee in the room and hair-dryer in the room. We stayed here for two nights after traveling from La Fortuna on the Jeep-Boat-Jeep. The lodge is located on a hill above Monteverde and is in a secluded location. Our room was upstairs, cabin style with two beds, TV, dining table and balcony. There was also a small kitchenette area that had a coffee maker, microwave and fridge. The breakfast... More

We stayed for 3 nights and Eduardo & his family could not have been more helpful. Eduardo is extremely knowledgeable regarding the local wildlife and was a great help to me in locating species I wanted to see (reptiles & amphibians). The location is great - we saw a sloth within the grounds. The lodge is also right next to... More

The Nidia Lodge is a comfy place to stay for an extended exploration of the Monte Verde area. It is within walking distance of many great hikes, excellent restaurants, and nature museums and exhibitions. Eduardo is super knowledgeable on local birds, and a hike with him is a real treat. The rooms are comfortable and the rooms come with coffee... More

The lodge is rustic and surrounded by nature and yet only a short walk to stores and restaurants which we quite liked. The rooms were actually nicer in person than I was expecting; it is not fake wood panelling on the walls as might appear in photos, but actually lovely wood which was really appealing. Liked the small balcony on... More

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to the Monteverde area. The room was a nice size and we felt very safe. Each room has a nice little balcony overlooking the forest next door, which was a great place to sit and relax. We did not have any trouble with noise and found the sound of rain on... More

When we first arrived here we loved the place as it was a little out of the way and the building seemed new and nice overall. The room is large (we had a junior suite which had a coffee maker, fridge, microwave, king bed, etc) however like most places in Monteverde didn't have AC. No AC is fine, however there... More

Our stay at Nidia Lodge was excellent. Nidia and her team were very helpful and accomodating. The room was clean and the food was very good too and reasonably priced. Nidia helped us book most of our tours including the arrangement of taxis which was very helpful. There are a few restaurants nearby (go to Jonnhy's for excellent pizzas) and... More

The family owned Nidia Lodge is a great find! The family lives on site and they are always around to answer questions, book tours, make calls, etc. Their attention to customer service is way above outstanding. The place is spic and span clean and so quiet. The restaurant on-site serves good food and the on-site spa offers reasonably priced massages.... More

We stayed 3 nights at the apartment of Nidia Lodge. It was a very nice stay. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly, the apartment was perfect for 4 people! The price was ok! The best of all was the breakfast! It was the only hotel we stayed where we got such a large choice of things to... More
