Stayed here several nights from august to end of october due to work commitments in area. Stayed in nearly all the various rooms and all were excellent. The owners Colin and lena made us very welcome. The breakfasts were excellent and various choices was on offer a good start to the working day. I intend to return and stay in... More

From the very beginning, Colin and Lena could not have been more accommodating and friendly. My husband and I arrived on the train in the pouring rain, to find Colin unexpectedly waiting for us to give us a lift to the guest house - I don't think I've ever been so pleased to see anybody! Our room was clean and... More

Stayed here post wedding at Blair Atholl, wasn't in communal areas so can't comment on those, however we had a nice room with nice outlook. Room and bathroom is tight but perfectly charming. Hosts were excellent and the breakfast excelled, with good quality ingredients. They even us a lift back to the castle to save us walking to get the car.... More

Literally, from the moment I arrived, Colin and Lena were friendly, accommodating hosts. Although I was hours late after an 11-hour day walking from Kinloch Rannoch, Colin immediately drove me back to pick up backpacking friends from whom I had gotten separated. A friend and I returned 2 weeks later for a longer stay, to explore the hills and local... More

We've now stayed at Dalgreine three times in the last few years and Colin and Lena never disappoint! Always a friendly welcome, we love the little touches like tea and muffins on arrival and homemade marmelade. Nothing seems to be too much trouble and advice on walks and activities in the area are always very helpful. The rooms are great,... More

The website is nice, and promotes a "warm and friendly welcome". This was not my experience. I didn't actually stay here, though I did get as far as booking for my son to stay. The story is....I had just completed my phone booking, for 1 night's stay (for my son) and paid in full by debit card. I then asked... More

We got a friendly welcome at the B&B and the owners are definitely good hosts. The B&B is close to Blair Castle and is located in a quiet street. We've been travelling for 3 weeks in Scotland and found this B&B to be the least of all the 4-star B&B's we stayed at. It was rather untidy. The bathroom is... More

A lovely one night stay, with a hearty welcome and tour with Colin. Very cosy, everything was thought of. Tea and Coffee in the rooms, DVD player with large selection of DVDs, soft fluffy towels and a wonderful breakfast, especially the home made Whiskey Marmalade. Recommended More

From the beginning it was clear this had to be an special place. Lena and Colin where extremely helpful from the first mails we wrote, asking us about our preferences for the room. We had a warm welcome by Lena and she was instantly providing lots of valuable information, regarding public transport -we were travelling in Scotland without a private... More

We had stayed at Dalgreine in 2008 and really enjoyed it, but this time it was even better. Hosts Lena and Colin are very knowledgeable about local events and attractions, and were more than willing to pack our breakfasts to-go for our early-departure day trips. The room was very roomy and comfortable, and the location was perfect to visit the... More
