We returned this fall(a rarity for us) to this lovely getaway near St. Remy and Avignon. A central location for exploring southern Provence, the rooms are decorated in the french country style and are wonderful. Madame Chantal provides a sumptuous breakfast in the courtyard, with croissants, fresh fruit, local jams and I am happy just remembering the feast. Reasonably priced... More

We had been visiting France for a few years and chose to go again for our honeymoon. We travelled to Le Presbytere from Marseille Airport in a little over one hour, and were greeted by the most enchantingly friendly Marie Chantal who helped to make us feel instantly at home. The setting is very much typically french and simply gorgeous!!... More

Le Presbytere exceeded my high expectations. It is a charming, welcoming, very special place to stay in Provence. Marie is a wonderful host, knowlegeable and eager to please. We were welcomed with an aperitif and baguettes with pate in the relaxing garden patio. The room (La Mucha) was romantic and spacious with a curtained bed, sitting area and well appointed... More

We invested a great deal of time looking for a place near Avignon – in the countryside with a genuine French country-side feel. We had our own transport but were carrying backpacks and on a budget: wanted a decent bed and our own bathroom facilities. Because of the reviews that we had read, we were especially looking forward to staying... More

I almost feel like writing two reviews for this place. The first review would not be that positive because we had a difficult time finding this B&B. We ended up stopping in the town hall of St. Etienne du Gres to get a map and a description of how to get there. Then once we got there I was a... More

We stayed a week at this property and have absolutely no regrets whatsoever. Marie is a wonderful innkeeper who shows true interest in her guests and their experience in Provence. She was helpful and interesting to talk to. Our room was a woman's Provence fantasy and my wife loved it. It was large, airy, and full of all things Provence.... More

Based on the pictures on a website and the earlier reviews below we stayed 5 nights at the Le Presbytere. We where very pleased to find the positive reviews accurate. A lovely, charming house with unique rooms and beatiful garden. The host Marie is indeed a lovely person and she made our stay comfortable in any way she could. Breakfast... More

We stayed one night at Le Presbytere after watching Tour de France and both thoroughly enjoyed it. The best night sleep we've had for quiet some time. The B&B is located a little way out of Avignon in a very quiet picturesque area. The house is a beautiful old traditional French building lovingly decorated with paintings on the wall, period... I guess that our experience does not quite match the reviews of others regarding this hotel. Firstly, I do not have dogs and the smell of dogs was quite noticable. The woman was very accomodating and friendly; however the smell of dog overshadowed the experience. The location is superb for day trips to Arles St. Remy Avignon and practiically all... More

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in September 2005 after reviewing TripAdvisor and seeing the web site, which turned out to be fully accurate. The B&B was excellent value and I'm still smiling as I write this, as the whole Provence experience was a highlight of our 5 week European trip. The Presbytery is a lovely old... More
