My husband and I spent one night at Chateau de Chambiers at the beginning of September this year and have been intending to write what is our first ever Tripadvisor review since then. We could not have found a nicer, more charming welcome by Elie and Anne. They obviously love their home and wonderful, romantic garden. We felt looked after... More

My wife, brother and sister-in-law stayed here for two nights last year. The experience blew us away and I am embarrassed that it has taken so long to post this review. The rooms were just fantastic. Mihele and I stayed in the library that had been converted into a bedroom with en suite. But all the books ere still there!!... More

Me, my mom and my sister had the most amazing time in this amazing place. The owner, Elie, was one of the mosto touhgful and nice persons I've known through our trip through the Loire Valley, He welcomed us with a cup of coffee and hot chocolate, as a good friend who has been expecting us and gently asked if... My husband and I LOVED the Chateau de Chambiers. The Crouans made us feel welcome and so comfortable. Monsieur (Elie) grows amazing vegetables and Madame (Anne) makes such fresh, healthy, appetizing foods, ranging from modern, international, and natural dishes to classic French ones. Home-made bread, yogurt, preserves. Delicious! We really felt like guests at a luxurious country estate, but there... More

Horrible host and never had rooms cleaned or garbage picked up for two days, not given enough towels, ignored when asked for more. Water pressure horrible, ran out of water mid- shower. Cockroaches and bugs. No WiFi as advertised. If looking for a charming French getaway, do not stay here. Very expensive, not worth it. More

I just came from France after staying and attending a wedding at chateau de chambiers. I don't know where to start. The lady/ owner very rude, disrespectful, and not helpful... There are no water pressure on the second floor if you want to take a shower. It takes you more than half an hour to take a shower as you... More

As I told you at the time, we are very sorry that an unexpected plumbing problem arose during your stay. In response to your bringing this to our attention, we offered you xxx and you accepted this. The plumbing issue has of course been repaired. We regret that it affected your stay at our château. More

I reached the Chateau by train from Paris in 1 1/2 hours plus a taxi ride. For a history buff with a discrimating palate, this is heaven. I also found the spaciousness of the grounds, the lovely classical music on the airwaves in the chateau truly relaxing. This is a fabulous area near the Loire in Anjou. They use only... More

We stayed with a number of friends (2 couples, 3 singles - average age 30, all well travelled and international) at Chateau Chambiers in late April 2010 as we attended a wedding in the region. Chateau Chambiers is beautifully located in the middle of the forest, very quiet surroundings, and the hostess worked hard for us to make our stay... More
