My wife and I have never stayed in a castle before and what a castle to stay in! As you enter Durtal there is one building that dominates and this is the Chateau. It rises way above everythind else and is a very impressive sight.
Our room was tastefully furnished and the view was over the town and the Loir....

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night on the way from Versailles to Loire and it turned out to be the perfect introduction into all other castles in the area.
