We've just returned from a week at Paradisus Rio de Oro. The trip from the airport to the resort is about an hour. We were welcomed by friendly staff who greeted us with glasses of sparkling wine. The hotel is excellent. BUT! You wouldn'l get any ood service without tips. You need aproxemitely about 10 or 15 CUC every day just for tips. everything was superb, except the hunger for tips .... they are being spoilt which spoils the holiday. If its good service i tip well anyway, not just because a flash a coin!! plus could do with free internet in the rooms or in the lobby....... shouldnt have to pay for it not for the price we paid to stay there!!!!... more

Two years ago my brother honeymooned in Holguin and he said it was great. It wasn't an "out of this world" trip but with the clock ticking and me being a procrastinator, the inexpensive all-inclusive trip to Cuba was looking pretty good.
