Hoped for a sea-side hotel, which this was, but other than the restaurant spending the night would be better done up the hill in the town of Murten. I went on a day trip out to Murten to enjoy the fine fall weather and have some Egli (lake perch). We decided on the restaurant at the Schiff am Rhein, as the menu was more reasonably priced than that at the nearby Vieux-Manoir, and the dishes we wanted were available at Schiff am See, as well. “Ok Place. Nothing Special”

This place was Ok...nothing special. Room was very basic. Nothing to distinguish it. Bathroom was OK...small but clean. No airconditioning and we could have used it. Restaurant was OK...expensive and average. Room was clean but very basic. No charm at all. Location was good. Could walk to ocean or town easily. More
