I spent three nights in the resort as part of a birding group on a three week trip around north-eastern India, so can’t comment on prices or value for money because all those aspects were handled for us. I found the resort to be a pleasant and comfortable oasis amidst the wonderful hustle and bustle of Assam. Arrangements for transport and visiting the amazing Kaziranga park were made for us, possibly through the hotel and all was excellent. Food was arranged for us by our tour leader and all members of the group made positive comments about the quality and flavor. The nature of our tour did not offer us the opportunity to order a-la-carte, so I can’t comment on that aspect. All meals were provided quietly, efficiently and on time. Staff in the hotel were mostly quiet and reserved, but gladly engaged with us when required and provided gracious and gentle service, which we appreciated. The rooms were very pleasant and adequate within context. I am happy to record that the supply of hot water in the shower was excellent. Some of us needed laundry service while at the resort and this was provided without fuss at very reasonable prices and was well done.…

Stayed 2 night in the resort in deluxe room Positives . Neat, clean well-maintained resort . Restaurant service and food is good. . Spacious rooms . Close to the park main entrance . Reasonably priced . Staff are very helpful. . I originally booked for 3 N but later my plans changed. Manager did not charge me anything for the cancelled booking for the 3rd night. Thank you! Negative . Small resort, not much to do within the resort.. I asked for bon fire in the evening, but the staff could not arrange it. Good value for the money.

We stayed in cottages , picturesque surroundings . Facilities quite adequate, food is okay. Staff very prompt and eager to help . Getting to Kaziranga is now much easier than before , but still, the moment you get there a hot cuppa really works wonders , and that's what we did

It was almost an impromptu plan to visit Kaziranga over the weekend. As it is now the start of the tourist season and coupled with some Government Seminars being held in Kaziranga at the same time most of the good and known resorts/ hotels were already fully booked. Through a known person of mine, I could manage to contact the Manager of Bon Habi resorts - Mr. Gaurav Saikia - who assured us a deluxe room and took all the responsibility to ensure a good stay. Our (me and my wife) original plan was to drive to Kaziranga on Saturday 29th and return on 30th afternoon. However, later thought it would be too hurried a trip and hence decided again to pre-pone the journey to 28th evening and reach by late evening on the same day and stay for 2 nights instead. I requested Mr Saikia again and he somehow managed to get a standard room for 28th night as the deluxe room that was booked for us was only to get vacated on 29th. We did not expect the standard room to be too good and as it was only for the night, we thought of giving it a try. To our pleasant surprise, the standard room itself was very spacious and clean and we had a very good night's stay. He moved us to the deluxe room that was originally booked for us the next day and it was in fact awesome, with two balconies - one overlooking the jungle and greenery and the other facing the lawn,a small swamp and the lobby and dinning hall beyond swamp. The room had all the necessary amenities and all the things that I would like to have in a room and no unnecessary frills. The cost of the rooms were also very reasonable I must say. The Bon Habi resort is about 500- 600 mtrs from the main road and about 2 Km from the Kaziranga Central point (Kohora). The place is really serene and all the rooms are in individual cottages. Very safe and infact have an ambience of living in Tea Garden Bungalow rooms. Each room (whether standard or Deluxe) are provided with electric kettle for tea/ coffee. The standard room had two single beds (which they joined up for us) and the Deluxe room had one King size bed. Both the rooms have nice sofas to and cane chairs for the balconies. The lobby and the dining hall stands alone and the ambience is also very nice.I found the food prices to be very reasonable. The breakfast was complimentary. The next day night I requested for very simple food with Rice, Dal, Mashed potato and fish fry (not available in the standard menu) and they readily agreed and arranged for us these home style food- which was infact very tasty. There was a small forest behind our cottage (beyond their fenced area) and at night the silence and the sound of the jungle was so so soothing. We believe we heard sounds of deer at night from behind our cottage. A small swamp type of portion is there in between our cottage and the lawn that they have in front of the lobby and dining hall where there were storks and other exotic birds in the morning and it felt so therapeutic to sit and watch - which I enjoyed for more than 3 hours. I also found several lovey and precious trees in the campus. The campus was maintained quite well. Another good thing is that I could safely park my car there. One can even take evening walk within the premises - which is a pretty large area with nice summer huts, lawns, park benches and a couple swing. Mr Saikia arranged for our Jeep Safaris one in the morning and one in the afternoon with a personal touch - which we enjoyed to the fullest. All in all, it was an awesome stay which we will surely remember for a long long time and would definitely like to come back again and stay in Bon Habi resort. Hope they maintain the ambience always. Absolutely loved it...keep up the great work... All in all it was an amazing stay…

In ten days in Assam I stayed at four hotels and this was by far the worst. Room VERY damp - mould everywhere. Clothes in morning all felt wet. Room cold and very basic. Food in resraurant underwhelming. So cold in restaurant one waiter wore gloves!Others all wore thick coats. Miserable experience. Hotel does not take foreign credit cards. One night here more than enough and I changed hotels to the IORA.

This hotel is very clean and spacious. This resort is built on a huge area. Kids would enjoy as there is ample place to play. This resort is located nearly 10mins walk from the highway. There are limited options available in the Restaurant but I loved the evening snacks and tea.

Location, ambience, cleanliness, staff service all were excellent. Food choices were limited. The garden is well maintained. Elephant safari is not too far. The orchid garden too is near by. Overall our 2 days stay was memorable one.
