We stayed there from 13th to 14th January 2012. It is very near to the Central Range of the Kaziranga National Park i.e. Kohora Range. The rooms are really well appointed with good house keeping staff and really excellent food. We stayed in Luxury Room which comes with complimentary breakfast and his is really elaborate - from continental to north... More

The stay at IORA was very pleasant. The place is landscaped beautifully with a lot of green and colorful flowers. The rooms are comfortable. They have in-house staff staying in the hotel basement or in the adjoining quarters who are very prompt in their service. Booking the reservation did take some calling and emailing on my part but other wise... More

My second trip to kaziranga with my family. First trip stayed in a govt run resort..Aranya i think...horrible! Iora is a really good resort..kids enjoyed the beautifully maintained garden and the food is delicious. Planning a trip again in summer to enjoy the swimming pool. Have a gripe about the game room. It was in a bad condition, mattresses lying... More

After three days battling with the challenge of Guwahati it was blissful to enjoy the attractions of the Kaziranga National Park in general and the IORA Retreat in particular. Generous accommodation, superb food (particularly the Assamese specialities) and attentive caring service made this the highlight of 6 weeks in the subcontinent. More

I had traveled to this hotel with my in-laws for a couple of nights (Sunday and Monday). We drove down from Guwahati in about 4.5-5 hours. Since my in-laws and their family are originally from Guwahati, Assam, they were quite familiar with the place, We traveled in 2 cars, my wife and I in one and 2 couples in the... More

The resort is conveniently located near one of the entrances to the Kaziranga National Park. A great base to go watch some of the world's last Rhinos in the wild. Great service with a smile and outstanding Assamese food at the restaurant Bhatbaan ... Great vacation spot More

This hotel was comfortable and clean. The showers were good with plenty of hot water. The gardens are very pretty. The restaurants served good food, Indian and European. There was also a specialist Assamese restaurant where they served local dishes which were tasty and quite different to other north Indian food we'd experienced. There was no Indian beer available and I... More

The hotel seems to cater for conferences, seminars and other groups rather than discerning visitors, Food is good when it eventually arrives. Rooms are average but very poorly sound insulated making sleep difficult due to 'group' activity. No proper reception or reception area and general lack of hotel and area information. Staff are good. Was here for business. Stayed one night. The whole place is beautifully landscaped. It is a high end property but you are paying for the amazing ambiance of the place. Stayed here on 27th November 2011 and loved the property. The food was amazing and definitely try the cocktail that the bartender makes. The specialty of the house is the... More
