Wonderful location, with the sand and coconut trees, blue blue sea, and food surpassed expectations, considering the location. But to swim so close ( I was told too close, but its hard to snorkel backwards ) to these giant hump back whales was just amazing. JUST DO IT!

Lynn and Allen have managed to create an exceptional place with atmosphere, good food, good wines an^d this "something special" which cannot and should not be described. Well worth the looooong trip to get there from Europe.

Blissfully beautiful, million-dollar privacy, service which is genuinely considerate rather than ostentatious and empty. Photos do not do the place justice. Four distinct shades of blue and aqua in the water and your own white sand beach literally 2 metres from the door step. Allan, Lynne , Kirtsy and Ma'artha are the best hosts on the island. They are friendly yet very professional. We had the very best holiday ever. The views extraordinary and the food magnificent thanks ladies. Thank you to Allan for the whale swimming. That male song was one we will remember.
Looking forward to returning next year.

Thanks Allan, Lyn and Kirsty for a fantastic stay at Mounu. The accommodation and meals were fantastic. We came to go whale swimming to celebrate my sister's 50th. It was the best experience.

Really beautiful, large sized, plenty of windows providing views of the ocean, whales swimming close to the reef and the wonderful starry nights.
The rooms have no electricity...

We stayed on this island paradise from Aug 20-27. I have never stayed somewhere, where I literally left my shoes off for the whole week! We had taken the 8 AM flight from Tongatapu and Allan and crew picked us up promptly at the airport. We were out watching whales by 9:30!
First, our hosts, Allan, Lyn, and Kirsty were...
