My husband and I stayed with Frank and Arelys in December 2012. Frank was an amazingly welcoming host who helped us plan some day trips, connected us with fellow travelers, and was extremely organized, communicative and honest with us. We really enjoyed spending time on his beautiful rooftop patio garden. Thanks Frank and Arelys! We'll be back!

We spend 4 nights at Villa Colonial in February 2013. The rooms were lovely with many antiques and nice outside seating areas. We arrived hot, tired and sweaty without a booking and received a fairly warm greeting. Things went downhill a bit after that though. The atmosphere at this casa was nothing like as friendly overall as others we visited and the food was neither as good, nor as plentiful. Had a lovely couple of nights here. The room was very comfortable with a shiny new bathroom. There is a lovely roof terrace to sit out on. Dinners and breakfasts were good value. Frank and Arelys work very hard to create an outstanding Casa Particulare, with impressive results. Our bathroom was new and beautiful - decor and fixtures magazine quality - and the bedroom comfortable. It opened on to a lush courtyard with stairs leading to a new, stunning roof top terrace. Nice and charming house with a lovely reception. Amazing food with romantic atmosphere (try shrimps for dinner) and delicious breakfast... The village of Remedios, with his big square and church, is a relaxing stop.

Frank and Arelys are great hosts. You can see how Frank puts all his efforts into giving a great service to his guests.
