It is a wonderful building and the rooms are lovely. Unfortunately the bar across the narrow road is very loud and it opens until everyone has gone home! This can be + 2am. The people from the bar are very friendly but it is used by the locals from a large surrounding area who dont seem to need sleep. They... more

We spent 2 nights at the Antica Dimora Leones with our 2 children aged 11 and 9. The bedrooms are very spacious and full of character whilst the bathrooms are modern. Everywhere in the hotel was spotless and we were made to feel at home by Violetta, who looked after us the whole time we were there. The hotel was... more

My husband and I both felt that this property was the best B&B of our trip. Violeta and Cecillia were there during our stay and couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. The house is divine, full of charm and brimming with antiques. Our room was large with a modern ensuite and had pretty views of the surrounding hillside. The... more

We just came back from spending three wonderful days at Antica Dimora Leones. As a Hotel Manager in Barcelona, I looked at several properties before deciding to book this one. The hotel is amazing, with a lot of attention to detail and a beautiful decor. Our room was spotless, with wonderful views of Palaia and its surroundings. Breakfast was delightful,... more

The accommodation was beautiful, with all rooms we saw being spacious and individually decorated. All rooms in the house were furnished in typical tuscan style and spotlessley clean. Your hosts Andrea and Manuela are very warm and hospitable people who obviously have taken a pride in the renovation works and welcome all guests into their home. The garden is a... more

The medieval town of Palaia is a beautiful place. The views are spectacular. Hotel was very unique, has been refurbished to very high standard, but has not lost any character or charm. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return to this hotel. more

Hotel Antica Dimora Leones. Reviewer: Michael Scott Since discovering this wonderful Hotel, over one year ago, I have stayed here at least a dozen times. The hotel is situated in the midst of Palaia a beautifully preserved medieval hill town, replete with ancient churches, narrow winding streets and wonderful views; strategically placed almost equidistant between Pisa, Florence, Lucca and San... more

We wanted to visit Tuscany but we didn't want to stay in a busy place, and after seeing some photos on internet of the Antica Dimora Leones we decided to base ourselves in Palaia, a pretty mediaeval town on a hill top with fantastic views over the Tuscan countryside. We rented a car as we wanted to travel around. The... more

When you open the shutters in the morning the sun steams in and the view of rolling hills and tuscany landscape takes your breath away. An old house beautifully restored, the attention to detail was amazing and the couple who run it are ultimately helpful, they even reserved us a table at a local restaurant one friday night - when... more

We cannot speak highly enough of Antica Dimora Leones, the people who work there, and the fantastic surroundings. We spent three nights here, in the Medieval hill town of Palaia, and save for a few unwanted mosquito bites, everything was perfect. From the moment we arrived, to be welcomed with wine and pastries in the beautiful garden by the lovely... more
