We spent three days there and loved it: True, there are some discomforts, like the humidity (but isn't it to be expected in that region?), the occasional visit of a frog at night, or the lack of electricity in the rooms, but the bungalows were spotless, the park was beautiful and the staff couldn't be nicer, especially Luis the excellent... My boyfriend and I booked this trip online, stayed for 3 nights and while it was quite pricey it was definitely worth it and we had a really great time! The cabins were so beautiful, rustic yet modern, no power so you had to use gas lanterns at night which I loved. We had an amazing view of the river,... More

We had originally planned to stay 3 nights, but after the first night we decided to get out of there.  2 nights was plenty. The good: Food was descent, the excursions in the long boat canoe were very good.  There was hot water in the shower.  The sound of the Rio Napo river was very relaxing. The bad:   Service... More

My two daughters and I stayed here because it wasn't too far from Quito (4+hour drive) and it was still in the jungle. We arrived just before dinner and were shown to our cabana down by the river. The meals were wonderful--my 12 year-old "pick-atarian" is quite picky and tried everything and loved it. She said (and we agreed) that... More

Cotococha Lodge was absolutely amazing. I do not like booking online because you never really know what you are signing up for. Cotococha far surpassed any expectations we set. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous full of beautiful plants and nature. Some lodges sit right on the Napo River while others are a short walk from the beautiful view. The food... More

We chose that lodge because of its closeness to Tena and because it seemed not to big and overcroweded. Both expectations have been perfectly met. (Stayed 3 nights/ 4 days) Booking: The adress of its Quito office changed recently, its located in a Hotel called Villa Nancy now. The old adress (Av. Amazonas y Wilson) does not exist anymore. Arrival:... More

On arrival staff were very friendly and eager to help. Luis got us off the bus and we were on our way to the lodge. They carried our bags down to our room which had an excellent view of the river. Rooms were very clean, big and the best part was having a lovely view from everywhere you looked. Food... More

imagine sitting on the blacony of your jungle loge with the Rio Napu - an Amazon Tributary flowing slowly pasy - the peace and tranquility is palpable, and when you add fun expeditions ( including floating down the river in a tyre and Mohammed's excellent cooking, what more could you want? Monkeys play in the trees nearby the noise the... More

We visited Cotococha Lodge from 12-14 October. The rooms are all bunglow style, very clean and basic. Our double room had two comfortable double beds, spacious bathroom and faced the river. Our friend had a single room, two double beds and a smaller bathroom. There is no electricity in the room, but always had a hot shower. The food is 100% delicious,portions... More

I'm guessing I went to the same place as the others, or perhaps we just had different expectations. No I'm not complaining about the electricity, or the hot water, but just the simple things which weren't there. Pros: + units by the river provide a good view + clean units, decent bathrooms + decent staff Cons: - a unit of... More
