We stayed here for one night in the only room that was buit - it was in the middle of nowhere so no escape!
We phoned this place and booked a room for two nights while travelling around Kerala. We'd seen it in the Rough Guide so thought it would be OK. Obiously the Rough Guide visited quite a while ago.
They told us it would be 6000R on the phone, a lot higher than the RG said but it's peak season and prices do go up a lot. It also said it had a pool and a swimming area in the lake it faces so thought we deserved a couple of nights of luxury midway through our trip.
When we arrived the reception was in a marque type tent and there was some building going on but this was outside the walls of the main resort. We checked in and were told that we should go see the room and then if we liked it give them a deposit.
The room itself was very nice and more high end than i ever expected (or would have booked) in India. It really didn't feel like we were in...
