I spent 5 nights at Juma Lodge with my wife, sister, and two adult children. Here's what I said to them in an e-mail: Obrigado. Thanks again for making our stay a wonderful experience. I greatly appreciate the efforts of the entire staff to make us feel comfortable and relaxed. The entire experience exceeded our expectations. I especially appreciated Haulys'... More

We stayed at the lodge in mid December 2011 for 4 days and 3 nights. We were collected promptly at Manaus airport and taken by minibus/boats to the Lodge. Haulys our guide was with us for the whole transfer and was very informative. He speaks very good English. He gave a good speech at 'The Meeting Of The Waters', and... More

This lodge was without a doubt the highlight of my trip to Brazil. I spent four days there and each day was better than the day before. Our guide (Haulys) was the most knowledgeable person I could have imagined. He was able to point out every kind of flora or fauna around. He also just made the entire experience fun... More

Hello Mr. Andrew Brennan I would like to thank you very much for the great review about us! Very good to know that Juma was the highlight of your stay in Brazil! Regarding the monkeys, they are natives from the region and are set free. We cannot avoid their presence, but from November to now, the monkeys you probably met... More

We spent three nights here recently. I was impressed with the trip to the lodge. Beginning at our hotel in Manaus we traveled by car, by boat, by VW microbus, and then again by boat to reach the lodge. All of the transfers were timely and well handled. The return was equally well handled. During our stay we were treated... More

Stayed two nights which in my opinion is enough to enjoy most of the trips and activities. Location is three hours from Manaus - worthwhile trip if you want to enjoy an area which has not been affected by the massive deforestation. Professional operation from the transportation, guides and the lodge itself. Surprisingly bug- free. Clean rooms though be prepared... More

Lodge itself is excellent - great location. Recommend to pay the relatively small premium to upgrade to a room over the water, as they are considerably nicer. Activities were well run (our guide was Kenrick) and made the stay worthwhile. Quality of food: disappointing - it's not what you go for, but the standard was really average - re-heated food,... We stayed at Juma for a 3 night package. This is a great rustic location in the Amazon. There are approximately 20 cabins all built on high stilts above the high water line of Juma River. All cabins and main reception room and restaurant room are connected by tree top walkways. Arrival to Juma is via Manaus and takes about... More

Fantastic vacation! Cobra was our guide and we could not have been in better hands. The lodge is crazy fun. . . lots to do, but not too much . . . good food . . . excellent staff . You feel like you have really entered the jungle and not some staged adventure. It's way out there; almost no... More

Built on stilts, the Juma Lodge features private cottages in the flooded jungle. During the wet season, water is literally two feet under your floorboards. During the dry season, the waters recede and you find yourself walking 30 to 40 feet in the air to get to your cabin. (Yes, the rivers do actually rise 30-40 feet during wet season.)... More

In the heart of the river and the jungle, we picked the flood season to visit the amazon. I had been dreaming of this Amazonian visit since 12 yrs and juma lodge was like a cherry on the cake. All the staff from the word go till the end was fantastic. Away from all communication in the peace of soooo... More
