Spent a weekend in this hotel. The hotel itself, an old hacienda, is pretty nice, but the rooms are way too old and spartan. The golf course is very nice and the outdoors are wonderful for a restful - forget-the-world type of getaway, but they really need to make the rooms nicer (maybe a larger plat screen TV, etc). More

Never stayed in a room, we go here for the restaurants. Food quality is pretty good, traditional Mexican. I recommend starting with tortilla soup and then having carne asada, best dishes in the house. The view and post-dinner wander around the grounds is wonderful. Be sure to visit the small chapel. The Hacienda Cocoyoc is a great place with terrible rooms and indifferent service.
