I stayed here in Jan 2012 for 5 nights. I originally had 3 nights here and within 6 hours of arriving, knew it would not be enough. luckily for me with a move to the top floor i was able to stay the extra 2 nights. Hyacinth is a wonderful host and i would not hesitate to recommend anyone to... More

We stayed for five nights at a house amongst the coconut palms 25 meters from Ezhara Beach Homestay. This was arranged by Hyacinth, the owner of Ezhara Beach. The bedroom was very small and basic, the shower room was large and new. Cold water shower but hot water is obtainable in a large bucket. This house was cared for by... More

My girlfriend and I came here for what we thought was going to be a couple of days, ended up here for almost a week! Hyacinth and her staff are fantastic - v. friendly and make you feel most welcome. They also put on an amazing spread for breakfast, lunch, and dinner - really great Keralan cuisine if that's your... More

Having been here last year, we knew what to expect, and Hyancith surpassed those expectations. No major changes one year on, just excellent friendly service and marvellous food, and lots of pampering by our hostess. It was our wedding anniversary whilst we were there, and so this was an excuse for a trip out for lunch in Kannur for everyone,... More

I mean - what a shame that Tripadvisor only allows me to give FIVE STARS. It should be possible to award more to those whose simple deserve it. Ezhara Beach House is such a place. From the moment you receive an email from Hyacinth (the hostess with mostest), you just know you have chosen the right place to stay in... More

Sat at the end of the garden with our hosts, Hyacinth and George, sipping on a chai, I ask what the men in the sea are doing, just 50 metres or so away. "Fishing for mussels" replies George, "do you want some for lunch?". An hour or two later we're sat eating the freshest green-lipped mussels I've ever had, in... More

Despite many travels in India and elsewhere, I've never written a tripadvisor review before... but I could not resist the temptation after my wonderful stay at Ezhara beach house. I have never encountered such warmth, generosity and humor in a homestay/guesthouse before. Hyacinth and George are wonderful, as is the beach on which the homestay is situated. More

A brilliant relaxing family holiday. Two weeks of sun, sea and sand. Our hostess Hyacynth could not have been more helpful. It really was a home from home. The food was a delight and the fact that there were so few other tourists really was a bonus. Rooms were simple and clean. More

We stayed at Ezhara for 5 nights in November 2011, having read a number of rave reviews on trip advisor. It genuinely feels like you've come home! Hyacinth (the owner) makes you feel immediately welcome and at ease, and pretty much kills you with kindness! We cannot recommend this place enough. Yes, the accommodation is simple, and yes, you encounter... More

We have just spent two very enjoyable weeks over Christmas and the New Year at the Ezhara Beach House in Northern Kerala. We, being two adults and two children and two grannies. We took the whole house and that turned out to be a good decision. Aged parents on the ground floor sharing a bathroom. Two parents and their children... More
