Just back from a 2 night stay in this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable with a telescope in the luxury bathroom. Sadly no stars to see! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was reasonably priced and the food was of a very high standard.

Just got back from a 2 night stay at The Forresters and it has fantastic food which not only tasted great but looked like a work of art,great staff, lovely rooms and a great location for river walks. Hopefully will be returning soon.

Visited for an evening whilst walking the Pennine Way. Welcomed by Frank who was most helpful and gave good service either at the bar or in the restaurant. Stayed for two nights using groupon.Room was small but was advised of this when booking as was only one left that weekend.Although small was very clean and bedding and towels lily white even had iron and ironing board in wardrobe.
