The staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed some tasty meals during our visit. There was ample car parking space adjacent to the pub. Although it was evident that efforts had been made to create pleasant and modern accommodation, our room was a disappointment. We had a particular concern over an electric socket which was not securely fixed to... More

We were camping nearby and it was tipping it down with rain. So we drove to the nearest pub we could find rather than go back to the tent and cook in the rain!! We thought this was a bit 'posh' when we went in, gorgeously cosy and friendly though, and it gets full marks for it's food and hand... More

"Delightful stay ...friendly hosts, good food and excellent value." We stayed here on New Years Eve and what a lovely time we had. The hosts made everyone so welcome, providing a free buffet and champagne to welcome in the New Year.. It is a lovely place ...the rooms were quaint and welcoming. The building is olde worlde yet with has... More

Stayed at the Wentworth Arms on 5th November in a double en-suite (£65). We were going to a wedding at the Old Lodge so the landlord allowed us to have our room a bit earlier than normal. Our friends stayed at the Old Lodge at £120 per room and were not allowed to have there room until 3pm (the wedding... More

The room was spotless, bright and airy. Lovely furnishings, flat screen t.v with plenty of channels. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was... More

The Wentworth Arms is ideally situated for the moors, Scarborough, Whitby and York etc etc. I was staying in a twin room (with ensuite) with a work colleague whilst playing golf in the area. I found our room to be functional, very clean, and good value for money. Breakfast was the usual choice of cereals, fruit juices, and traditional English... More

We popped in for a sunday lunch on teh way back from Scarborough. landlord is typical Yorkshireman, gruff but OK once you strike up a conversation. Food was sensational, beuatifully cooked, I had fillet of pork, my wife had roast pork, vegatables were excellent. Service was terrific, price was £28 including two rounds and 1 dessert. Excellent value. Would definitely... More

This is just a food review, we did not stay in the hotel. There were a group of three of us on Sunday evening, on a way from Scarborough to Cambridge - so still a long drive to do. We ordered our mains from the specials board (at 6pm), and after 15 min the waiter came back to tell that... More

I wish I had read the reviews on this site before booking as we had similar problems! My sister and I went to see Erasure in Dalby forest and originally we tried to book two rooms, a double for some friends and a twin for my sister and I. The day after we booked we recieved a call saying that... More
