Had a really enjoyable short break here. The room was comfortable & warm with views to die for. We were on the upper floor altho' I don't think it would have mattered if we had been on the ground with patio. We had a sheltered private balcony and sat out for a whole afternoon soaking up the views. Best bed... More

What a view great . Restaurant and bistro good food good and friendly service. Rooms are very nice clean but if you stay in the groundfloor rooms and you are unfortuned that you have upstairs neightbours, its to noisy, we could not sleep the first night. Second night was better no neightbours. As we were with 2 couple and stayed... More

Many thanks for your review and we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. We are sorry to hear that you had noisy neighbours above you. I am afraid it is very difficult to control the levels of noise that other people make. We have recently had our superior Cedar Wing rooms sound proofed, and over time we will endeavour... More

We were recently at the hotel for a meal which was excellent. We were not staying in the hotel. I had fish & chips which was very good. What a great view can't be many restaurants in Scotland with a better one. If you go reserve a table & ask to be in the window. Staff were great very helpful.... More

Many thanks for your review and we are so glad you enjoyed your meal in our Bistro. Friday music nights are very popular and it is Calum that plays the fiddle, along with several of our local neighbours on various other instruments. We hope we can welcome you back here sometime. More

To start with the positives. Beautiful location, and Arduaine gardens are adjacent to the hotel, so bring your National Trust/ Scottish National Trust cards to enjoy the lovely gardens. The house and cedar wing annexe rooms, have lovely views of the loch. The lounges are comfortable, and you are invited to have a drink and canapés there while choosing dinner.... More

Thank you for taking the time to write such a lengthy review and I am sorry we did not manage to meet your expectations in every way. Our hotel is indeed 3 star, not a luxury hotel and our standard rooms, which all have the stunning sea view everyone loves, are fitted out in a comfortable style. We do have... More

Soundproofing awful in cedar wing; central heating did not work;mould around patio doors; bathroom needed some TLC. Offers only allow a very fixed menu unless you are prepared to pay over the odds for mediocre food. Only redeeming feature was the view!

Thank you for writing a review. It is also very disappointing for us that we failed to meet your expectations and you found so many things wrong with your stay. I am totally unaware that we had a problem with heating anywhere in the hotel and we will investigate your other comments and make sure they are addressed for future... More

Just spent two nights at Loch Melford Hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful situation next to the stunning Arduaine Gardens. Our room had a balcony where we could sit and enjoy the view. Excellent breakfast and plenty options for eating at night. We will be back.

Stayed for thee nights in the Cedar Wing. Fairly expensive but rooms were very comfortable and well maintained. The views through the patio/balcony door were stunning. Soundproofing in this part of the building is not too good however so would recommend either asking for a room on the upper floor or in the main house itself. If you're into nouvelle... More

Many thanks for your review and we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. The location on the loch side at Melfort provides breathtaking views. Couple this with the patio door panarama window of the accommodation lodges and you have a memorable experience. Our corgi and shi tzu dogs loved it. The food was superb, each meal a work of expertise and culinary care. The main hotel public rooms again overlooked the loch, were... More

Stayed at this hotel last summer, very impressed, so when they sent is a £100 voucher how could we not return for a 2nd visit? Location terrific. Room comfortable but can hear next door. Water comes from a private supply and got blocked whilst we were there after stones came out of the hot water tap! Many thanks for taking the time to write a review.
