“Calmness In the Heart of La Paloma”

Stayed on the beach last year (2011); but this year it's staying in the Heart of La Paloma, Uruguay. La Viola is reasonable ($70.00 Canadian) per night, has a good continental breakfast included (they even made us mate so we could try it and walk around with a thermos of hot water, leather insulated cup and a metal straw!), and... I am delighted to present the first review on this lovely hotel. It is a clean hotel undergoing an upgrade, located on a main street not far from the beach. The staff don't speak English but are very friendly and accommodating and tried their best to understand my limited Spanish. We had to dodge the painter going up and down... More
