Acayucan is a good-sized small town southeast of Mexico City that is not a usual tourist destination. We stopped there one evening on our way back from the Yucatan and found the Plaza hotel right in the heart of a busy "downtown" area. There are several other hotels in the area, including at least one that rates 4 or 5... More
