We stayed here recently as it was an excellent location for my husband to go scuba diving at Aliwal Shoals. Although there are closer hotels to this dive location they do not seem to be of a very high standard. Also, as a mother with a young baby we wanted to be able to use a nice pool and go out for walks during the day on the local golf course.

Unfortunately the stay did not live up to expectations, especially considering the other hotels in the chain are pretty well known and have good reputations. The hotel has good potential, the golf course looked very well maintained and the building itself is lovely. The staff were also friendly but the overall experience of our stay was that the hotel has some way to go before it will leave a polished impression and a hotel we would like to return to.

On checking in we had a discrepancy with our dates - there had been some going backwards and forwards with emails and unfortunately our final confirmation was not noted... more
