My family and I have been living in Brazil for 3 months for an extended work project. We've managed to enjoy most of our weekends out of Sao Paulo city in an effort to experience the real beauty of Brazil beyond the popular beaches. We were coming off of a bad hotel experience in Buzios, so we really needed a... More

I can't recommend Catucaba enough. Going here is entering a different world. It's a stunning old farmhouse set in incredible grounds with lakes, waterfalls, and a working farm, and surrounded by the hills and mountains. The rooms are set apart up the hill and are spacious and well decorated. I find it hard to get excited by vegetables but the... More

This hotel made us feel like cowboys from a century ago! We loved the place, the decor, the nature around. The staff was very nice and made us feel at home. We enjoyed being far away from everything, riding horses, watching the cows being milked, having lunch at the lake, fishing, ... If you need internet, TV's and airconditioning :... More

Perfect hideaway location. No internet or mobile connection. Wonderful service. Everything is done with such carefulness and attention to detail. Fresh food straight from the vegetable patch. Perfect for long walks and relaxation. More

My husband and I (couple in 40s) and mother and her friend (late 60s) stayed at the Fazenda for 2 nights in early July. We had intended to conclude our stay in Brazil with a 4 day stop over in Sao Paulo but decided to spend 2 nights at Catucaba and we are so glad we did! This wonderful little... More

Located in a historical farm from the XIX century, surrounded by a luxurious vegetation, this Pousada is the perfect place for a quiet, romantic getaway. All the food is organically produced in the farm, coffee, milk, meat, vegetables, fruits, and cooked by 3 ladies, Jo, Gi and Terezinha, who do wonders with these products. Last but nos least, Emmanuel Cabale,... More

This newly opened eco, organic and sustainable hotel, previous coffe plantation is something out of a book. Great surroundings for relaxing, good food, horseback riding and hiking. Really in the middle of nowhere, but well worth a visit. Stay a few days and explore. More

We were here for three days and absolutely enjoyed it. After 10 days on the coast, we drove up into the elevated regions of Sao Paulo state, where the tropical forest became a dry climate with pine trees, and then drove along a narrow dirt road from Catucaba to reach the fazenda. This place is completely away from civilization, and... More

Fazenda Catucaba is a beautifull historical building, recently renoved but kept the old features like more then 200 years old wooden floors, old dining tabels, old telephone etc etc. In the kitchen there is always a cake in the oven and the staff is preparing home growed food for you, vegetabeles, coffee, meat, fruits, everything comes from the Fazenda. The... More
