I would recommend this motel. The room was of a good standard, and clean. The one bedroom unit we stayed in had a queen bed in both the lounge and the bedroom. A pleasant courtyard area outside our room. The manager was very helpful. Good location, handy to the local restaurants. More

Stayed 2 nights here on a trip around the island. Within the price range, it was the best accommodation we had anywhere. Spacious and comfortable, conveniently situated and reasonably priced with very welcoming hospitality. Highly recommended. More

Near new and well built motels close to town. Solid concrete floors so no squeeky floorboards to keep you awake. Good service too. Double bed should be a better quality model, futons went out years ago. Very clean and good facilities. Highly recommended. More

The lodge is comfortably modern and pristine, and is located conveniently on the main street of this nice little town near Abel Tasman. You can walk easily to any of the tasty restaurants located just down the road. We greatly appreciated Roger and Marie, who were friendly and helpful and did everything possible to make our stay pleasant. We would... More

We have travelled the world extensivley with work contracts, this is one of the few exceptionally clean motels or hotels we have stayed in so we are proud that it is in New Zealand, our homeland! Thanks Roger and Maggie for your help in navigating our way around town. Your service helped to make our stay a relaxing retreat; putting... More

We stayed in Motueka for 2 nights, to enjoy the Abel Tasman National park and its various activities including kayaking with the seals and going for some stunning walks in the beautiful park area. Location: Nautilus Lodge is a mere 10-15 minute drive away from Kaiteriteri Beach, which gives you access to the water taxi and allows you access to... More

We didn't realise how quiet Abel Tasman and the area around it was in winter, so were surprised to find a lot of places in the area closed when we turned up. Although Nautilus Lodge looks quite ordinary from the outside, inside it is beautifully fitted and furnished and was an immensely comfortable one night stay. The kitchenette had everything... More

We had an unplanned 2 night stay here in an otherwise fullly planned and booked honeymoon as some friends we were due to be staying with had let us down and we found ourselves stranded in Motueka. Nautilus Lodge was recommended in the Lonely Planet guide and the managers at a local bar, the Sprig & Fern, also recommended this... More

We stayed here just for 2 nights but it was so nice I was sorry we didn't have more time to stay longer!! Our double-bed studio was ground floor, and it the largest motel room we have stayed in so far in NZ. The kitchenette was equipped with the usual - toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge etc. The rest of the... More
