My son and I had to make an emergency trip from Indiana, USA to Mablethorpe for one week for a funeral. We looked all over the internet for Hotels, very few around the area. We chose the Bacchus Hote, site unseen, and what a delightful place it was. The entire staff couldn't do enough for us, the owner is even... More

Our receive it based purely on the bar and service as we did not stay the night. The pub has traditional beers, all reasonably priced, a huge beer garden and catered for children (the day we went there was a bouncing castle etc), we had a great laugh and would definitely recommend it for a good family day out in... My wife and I and our two dogs stayed in Room 6 for a couple of nights at the end of February. We rode on the Beach with Black Cat Equestrian Center (massive thank you to Becky and Laurin for a couple of brilliant hacks on the beach) whilst the wind and snow howled off the North Sea. The hotel... More

We stayed in the family room with our two children which was quite basic but clean and spacious. The hotel staff were friendly and the breakfasts were really good. I loved the log fire in the pub, just the thing after a bracing walk on the seafront.

I used to go here every Sunday for 11 years so that must say something. Dave the owner. His staff like Antony and Lesly are first class. I have moved away so there is room for one more for lunch. Good luck and keep up the good work. Richard now in Thailand

Needed an hotel at short notice as close to the sea as possible. Also tempted by mention of the micro brewery on the website. No sign of their ales anywhere in the bars. If you're expecting 4 star HOTEL standards, forget it. Remember that although this place calls itself an hotel it's only failing to achieve 4 star Inn standards.... More

We very dissappointed that you did not enjoy your stay with us and am sorry that the smell of the fresh paint from next door affected your stay. If we had realised this was as strong as you mention we would have gladly offered you an alternative room. We were however very dissappointed that despite asking the guests not to... More

My partner and I stayed for the first time at the The Bacchus Hotel, in Sutton-on-Sea, was impressed with the rooms, the service, the bar and the restaurant, the only comment which is not really a problem is that my bathroom was small, but will always stay there again when visiting mum and dad who live in sutton on sea...
