When visited the Clarendon to have sunday lunch, we were greeted by the friendly staff, who took our order. The service was prompt and the food was of excellent standards. It is the next best thing from home-cooked food. They serve good sized portions as well as piping hot homemade yorkshire puddings! Seasonal vegatables that they included were fresh and...

Nice home-cooked meals. Nothing fancy but just what you need on a cold winter's day. There is even a fire to cheer you up. Dishes include pies, roasts, liver and onions, and fish and chips. On the subject of chips, they are hand-cut and DELICIOUS! ! The best chips I've had in a while. Prices are very reasonable and weekday...

A really good night and...

Yet again made more than welcome with proprieter and all staff .Good hearty breakfast rooms were clean .A real friendly atmosphere .Look forward to next year PS Thanks for driving us to the racing and back.
The room was dark and noisy with creaking floor boards looked viry tired. Dont get me wrong it would have been perfectly acceptable for a place to crash after a stag party but i was on a business trip and had an early start.
At £30 i should have not expected too much perhaps its my fault.
