All folks considering this hotel – BEWARE! Stayed 1 night on 17May 2012 (booked hotel thru travel agency in Chengu) at Executive room (5th floor) after checking into a Business standard (2nd floor) room that was dirty, noisy airconditioning and filthy toilet. Upgraded to Executive room after complaining to travel agent but front desk didn't mention of upgrading charges until... More

Stayed for 1 night only in this fairly basic hotel. The lobby is indeed grand and the location near the Baoguo Temple and near the bus station for heading up the mountain is great, but don't expect too much from this hotel and you will be fine. The "executive" room we had was huge but strangely lacking in furniture which... More

I recently stayed overnight at the Emeishan Hotel while on holiday in China. This was easily the most run-down hotel I stayed in on my 2 week trip. The location was great, very close to the Bao Guo temple, but that's about the only positive. The "hotel" was across 3 different buildings - reception, rooms and dining. Walking through the... More

Hotel is located near the Mt. Emeishan. Since we walked in the lobby, we could bearly breath. Smoke is everywhere, in the lobby, in the restaurant, and in our non-smoking room. The carpets in the room and in the hallway are unbelieveably dirty. The heavy smoking smell in my room and on my pillow, I had terrible headache and could... More

Beds are "firm" as is typical for China local hotels. You are out of a main city at this location and therefore have to make allowances. If you want international std luxury, go back to Chengdu. Yes, Emeishan Grand is basic, but our experience for an overnight stop was acceptable at a 3 star std. The famous Baguo temple and... More

One of the worst hotels that I have ever stayed in. The room was dark and dirty. The bed was as hard as the floor - we would have preferred the floor but it was filthy! The sink in the bathroom drained onto the floor. More

This hotel does not understand the hospitality industry at all. We checked in after traveling all day, and were shown to a room that was absolutely unsuitable. The upholstered chairs were stained. The ceiling had water damage. There were cracks in the wall. There was mold all over the decade old caulk around the shower and the sink. We complained,... More

We arrived here desperate for coffee, so the sign for Coffee Shop was heaven........ Found it with not too much trouble, but the staff, who were playing cards round a table, looked surprised to see us, and when we asked for coffee, they replied "No coffee" and carried on playing cards. The lobby of the hotel is very glitsy, much... More

We were impressed on arrival but that soon faded. Very few of the staff speak English and were not trying to be helpful. The room was pleasant but the beds were as hard as the floor. There was no english speaking channels on the TV. The bar had an extensive list of mixed drinks and cocktails but the bar staff... More

When we arrived at the hotel, we were impressed by the grand look of the hotel lobby. When we check into the room in other building, we were so disappointed. The hotel building have many rooms in one single floor just like hostel, and you can hear people talking outside the room. The room is equiped with minimum amenities, an... More
