Our tour group was on its way to Khajuraho after leaving Bandhavgarh National Park where our group of 19 stayed at the Maharaja Royal Retreat Bandhavgarh. The resort is owned by the Maharaja of Rewa. Maharaja Retreat is the property of the actual Maharaja of Bandhavgarh now converted to a hotel. It is on the main road where there are some shops. This is the main road and main area in Bandhavgarh, which in itself is a very small village, so very few shops. There are A/C cottages and Non A/C cottages. The best part... More

A great place to stay..very close to the park. the resort consists of many bird species coming on the 200 year old trees.. a great museum of the maharaja...great staff !!! More
