This was a very comfortable hotel with a 'Family' atmosphere as opposed to the usual impersonal chain atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone. The staff were all friendly and helpful, without evere being too intrusive. All parts of the hotel were spotlessly clean. We were upgraded to a superior room on arrival which was spacious with everything you needed. Nice touches included the obligatory chocolate on the pillow but also a complimentary apple each day. As it was approaching Christmas we also got chocolate Santas! The breakfast buffet was plentiful with lots of variety and very well presented. This would make a great alternative to some of the hotel chains in Bielefeld as it's only 1 minutes walk to a bus stop which takes you into town right next to the train station (Bahnhof). Ask the bus driver for Zentrum or ZoB and pay1 Euro 20 cents. We didn't sample the delights of the restaurant but found out that it has a very good reputation locally... more
