surana palce is nice hotel to stay. located at very quiet place the hotel is good and have also good restaurant also there are shops and large market nearby ie freeganj which host variety of shops and eateries if you want to stay in hotel which provide calmness. My overall experience at the hotel was very good.

It really is impossible to find anywhere clean in Ujjain. The Surana Palace is just about OK for a night. The rooms have clean beds but they were bug-infested on our visit (cockroaches etc) the bathrooms were really dirty. Unpleasant smell in the corridors as well.
