weekend Gateway We planned a family weekend gateway from Delhi to Sariska and taking a night halt in Burja Haveli. Initially with the review on Tripadvisor, I was real confused whether the hotel is good or bad. So, we called up the hotel to convey them our worry, clearly stated that reviews are of mix stature and with 5 kids... More

We arrived in this hotel by bus from Jaipur, the hotel is 7/8KM away from the centre and does not appear to have a large number of Western visitors, we managed to get a tuk tuk with the help of the local garage owner who spoke English, I would suggest you pre-book a pick up if staying at this hotel.... 1st time ever stayed at a haveli. Low on cost & amazingly well kept rooms with bathtubs - geysers - ac. Clean linen & quilts were supplied, amazing food (loved their Bhuna Mutton & Laal Maas) and didnt dent pockets even though we were a pack of 6 people. Loved how they had decorated their rooms with old Rajasthani paintings... More

In the weekend of mid-Feb we planned our trip to Ranthambore from Gurgaon with a stop over at Burja Haveli Hotel on the way for one night. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Alwar and the highway. Probably should have been our first sign. Entry is through a very badly kept garden area which then ends onto a... More

We discovered this property completely by accident. On a recent trip to India we decided to do a quick getaway from Delhi and were looking for a Haveli style hotel in Alwar. The place is stunningly restored. The service is exceptional. The only slight critique I would have is that the bathrooms are clean and western but suffer from no... More

Burja Haveli - less said the better. The rooms are below average with frequent power cuts. I will advice people, if ever they go there, to have their meals in their rooms, unless, of course, you don't mind big rats giving you the company in their ill-maintained restaurant. Infact, avoid having food in the haveli all together. It's no way... More

Burja Haveli is named after a village on the outskirts of Alwar called Burja. The Haveli is a several hundred years old building cleverly converted into a heritage hotel. But the traditional ambiance and the very courteous staff is the knock out. Food is great even for those who are vegetarians. A good option for those looking for a good... More

We were a group of friends and we just stayed one night but enjoyed our experience. Not much to write about in terms of the property itself, its an old building but has all the basic amenities sorted. The rooms were huge, and the service was excellent. The food was good too right from the tea, to the snacks served... More
