We planned the trip to Mt. Abu in a hurry during the Diwali break..And that's the worst time to go that place..I bet even otherwise, Mt. Abu is quite pathetic..The gujjus (including me) treat the place like a spitton and the local administration has no clue on handling traffic, power, water, pollution, sewage and the touts.. But...One bright spot for... More

My experience is and has been that a heritage hotel always boasts about its rooms, locations how old it is and the legacy it has carried, I wanted to write this REVIEW a long time ago but I was being selfish by not knowing the importance of it until recently what happened with me was repeated with 1 of my... We were at Mt Abu to attend a wedding and decided to club this with a short vacation. Had a wonderful stay at Connaught house. Lots of Parrots and a tortoise called Ramu kept our 3yr old daughter busy in the mornings and evenings. Good landscape. Excellent chef and fantastic food. Very accomodative staff - stretch themselves to serve you... More

I returned home from India less than a week ago. During my journey I visited the temples of Mount Abu, that's why I had the possibility to spend a night in this hotel. I was was enchanted from the athmosphere of the place, the location of the different rooms, and the colonial furniture. The staff is very polite and the food... More

We visited Mt. Abu from 30th January to 1st February 2011. We selected this property only because it was a heritage property away from the maddening crowds of Mt. Abu and also that it is a small property (I believe it has only 14 rooms). We reached Mt. Abu @ 0500 hrs. (very early in the very cold climate). The... More

This is a small but beautiful property. It has only ten rooms, I believe, and we stayed in the old wing. Awesome huge rooms, and the dining room is simply so much old-world charming. Wouldn't mind settling down here, but don't have the means to sustain the entire lifetime yet. :-) Service is excellent, and the manager at the time... More

This is a very nice property in crowded Mount Abu. This property has colonial styled cottages but the interiors are modern and contemporary. The rooms are huge and very well appointed. The staff were very courteous and every request was attended to immediately and with a smile. The best part of the room was that the food was served in... More

What a delightful surprise to arrive very early (at 07:00, from the night train) and have a hotelier say he would be happy to let us into our room early. (Not always possible, but we arrived mid-week.) And what a room! Beautifully, idiosyncratically furnished, with a shared veranda and shared library. Inside the room, a private sitting area, a bedroom,... More

As we entered the Heritage Hotel "wow" was the word my wife and I uttered . We both were impressed with the first looks of the property .Beautiful English Cottage with beautiful landscape. Room too was good and we were set for a pleasent stay. But this wow experience did not last for long. First hell broke when in the... More
