Our family spent 2 days at Edassery Kayal in December 2011. Beautifully designed resort - with modern, spacious rooms facing Lake Vembanad. We enjoyed the tranquil restful atmosphere of the resort. This is a well-designed and attractive property with a great location. The rooms are large and nicely furnished but for North American standards the beds are brutally hard. We were on our honeymoon trip here. Staff was wonderful. Special praise for Mr. Hariharan. Really upcoming small resort with wonderful facilities. Right on the banks of big Vemnard lake. Food was also very nice. Room service was overcharged:- They charge you 50% extra. More

If you are a honeymoon couple, then this is the place you will long for. But not for parents with small kids. A lot of potential disasters for the kids in the resort. Parents have to be very very watchful. It's a couple's resort altogether. More

The view across the swimming pool out to the lake -simply magical.Our room had a verandah with a private view of the houseboats slowly passing by on the lake.The food was some of the finest we have enjoyed anywhere in the World.
