We’ve stayed at the Shangri-La's Villingili Resort and Spa for 7 nights last September and from start to finish our stay was simply amazing. We stayed in a tree house pool villa which was wonderful with its own private infinity pool a separate living area. The tree-house villa was on stilts so you get really great sea views and it... The Maldives has been our favourite destination since 1994 and we've stayed in various resorts but never have we had such a fantastic experience at a Maldivian island. You are treated as if this is your "once in a lifetime holiday" and it was. The snorkling (guided for the turtles) and diving was the best we've seen. The dolphin excursion... More

Top quality. Excellent Food. If you want to get away from it all this is the place its very quiet & peaceful. The Water Villa was breathtaking. Sit with your feet hanging over the edge of the deck and watch the colourful fishes. We even had a turtle swim beneath our feet. More

Where do I begin? We flew from the Washington, DC area to Doha International Airport to Male, to then take a smaller plane to Gan, then a 5 minute boat ride to Paradise. In my opinion, completely worth the 2 day flight. We traveled in March this year to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary, among other things, and couldn't... More

We stayed 7 nights at the Shangri-La Villingili at the end of March as a couple and were very happy with our choice. ACCOMMODATION We opted for an Oceanview villa (nr 21) in Palm Breeze which offered a maximum of space and privacy and of direct sunlight (from sunrise till 4.30 pm) as well as a great view of the... We spent 9 nights as a family of 4 here during the Easter holidays. We took a Twin Beach Villa, which was absolutely fabulous. The standard and finishing of the rooms is excellent, the private pool is great and the size of the “garden” leading to the beach is huge. We were in Whispering Palms, which we found ideal from... it is a long way to get here, make sure you enjoy everything it has to offer. Most of the reviewers have already told you how wonderful their experiences were. I am just going to give you some advises before you decide to come. First, make sure your vacation package includes half-board as dinner are pretty expensive and can add... More

I was a little apprehensive about going to the Maldives because the thought of being stuck on an island in the middle of nowhere for days with nothing to do made me shudder. The journey to this hotel was a long one but worth it! We were meeted and greeted by representatives all the way through and were able to... More

THE ROOM This island is the most isolated one away from Male, near the equator. The size of the island is medium, not too big, not too small. For honeymoon, my wife and I spent 4 nights in a water villa, and the view was unbelievably amazing. The villa is quite big, almost half of the area is for bathroom... More

I can easily say that they are offering the best customer experience in the world. It's the last island in southern part of maldives. You need to take another plane and then a speedboat to go to hotel. however you don't need to pay anything extra for transfer from male to hotel if you stay 5 nights or more. The... More
