Nothing about our stay here could have been better, from our huge, contemporary room with a view, 3 course dinner with locally sourced ingredients and a hearty breakfast to send us on our way. We were sorry to have only stayed one night More

Have been for several years for week's fishing - renovations a few years ago have added premium lochview rooms to original house. Welcome as warm as always - and food delicious, but pricier in restaurant than in bar. With problems of supply of fresh food on the island - amazing the hotel manages to produce such results. Altogether a pleasant,... More

Out-of-the-way location with beautiful views and lovely walks nearby. Rooms in the new section of the hotel are large and very modern with a Scandinavian feel. Friendly, professional staff and, best of all, absolutely superb food - better than most London restaurants. More

Beautiful setting at the head of a small loch. We had a twin room in the old building – nicely furnished (attractive use of Scottish fabrics), fantastic view along the loch. Comfortable bar, with fine views. Very good food, attractively presented, and served in stylish restaurant, again with fine views from the lower end of the dining room. House wine... More

We took the wrong "track" down to the Lodge, as the road signs are confusing, and the approach is not via the Locheport road, which is on the other side of the loch. However, it is only a short distance from the main Lochmaddy to Clachan Rd. and just as well, as there are only rudimentary passing places before reaching... More

A great find. We had one of the new rooms - large, light, comfortable, well equipped, wonderful views, decent size bathroom. Food in the bar and at breakfast was excellent. Proper ingredients done well and with lots of seafood. Best chowder ever. High standards with relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Perfect combination. This place is definitely a cut above. Above all,... More

Comfortable, spacious room with fabulous views out towards the loch. We ate in the bar the first night and the restaurant on our second; both were great in their own ways. The laidback, cosy atmosphere in the bar was perfect after our long journey up from Barra in the rain. My wife and I both went for the calamari and... More

This was one of 5 upmarket B&B / Guesthouses where my husband and I stayed during a road trip through the Highlands and the Western isles. We absolutely loved this place and regret we could not stay longer. Dinner was amazing with the best, biggest, freshest and most succulent scallops I have ever had - apparently hand caught by the... Considering this Lodge has a great outlook I am afraid it does not live up to it's reputation, the owner was available only in the morning for breakfast everyone was herded into one small room we never got a choice of bread and was only served brown toast, we booked a table for dinner in the bar when we arrived... Dear Orange Cheshire I am very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay here at Langass Lodge. I was so surprised as if I am correct that you were the three adults sharing the large family room. I chatted with you and you never mentioned that you were cold or any of your other complaints. In August our heating... More

Fantastic hotel with a boutique feel. Very impressed with quality of hospitality and food offered and would thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting North Uist. We stayed only for one night but would have loved to have extended our stay and explored the area further if they had not been fully booked. I will definitely return. More
