I was with a group of friends and the hotel rooms can be a bit hard to find if you walk through the wrong area or maybe that was just me. I found the rooms to be very pleasant and comfortable with all the amnemities you could need. The room had it's only balcony area which was nice to just... More

I stayed for 4 nights, long enough to get a fair opinion. Nice enough hotel, but no sparkle. Average rooms however housekeeping was inconsistent to the point of annoyance. Restaurant forgetable. That said, good location, nice beach front, good for a few days on the beach. Accessed from the main road of what is a busy (noisy) resort. More

The food quality is overall acceptable, but a dirty tablecloth badly covered with a napkin is regrettable. Besides they cheated us with the weight of the fresh fish: 400 grams for a little squid! neither our complaints were sufficient to revise the bill. Even the music band accompanying the dinner was poor in term of quality More

After staying here in a superior room for 5 nights, i have mixed feelings about this hotel. On the plus side, the location on the beach is great. The staff are amazing, especially at breakfast and the poolside bar/beach lounges. So friendly, happy and smiling. The main road at the entrance to this hotel is busy at at times quite... More

I have a chance to go during my last business trip. And sure, complimentary room from the hotel. Dara Samui located in the central of Chaweng area. The atmosphere is Thai, i wouldn't called it pure traditional because it seems to have some of Bali sense. The room is average-good, not sure maybe we have the lowest category. The service... More

I stayed with three friends (in two rooms) at the Dara Samui for four nights near the end of March, and we thought it was perfect for what we were looking for. The lobby area is lovely, although open air so it can be a bit warm. We were greeted with cold towels which were remarkably refreshing. The rooms are... More

We stayed at Dara Samui for 5 nights in two superior rooms. I think that I only found this stay to be average is because the location and general feel of the resort and Chaweng beach just didn't suit me. First impressions were not great at all as we had to lug our bags (at least 15 kgs each) up... More

Stayed 8 nights March 2012. Small and friendly resort with the cleanest part of the beach in Chaweng. Breakfast and dinner staff and bar staff were fantastic and cleaning was carried out efficiently. Had stayed at a nearby resort previously which was also very good but we liked the fact that this was smaller and friendlier. More

Only spent 1 night here. Looks great from the street - and the room sizes were very good! If sharing your room (and not a couple) - the bathrooms lack a little bit of privacy. Plenty of porters around - but if you are happening to lug heavy bags about and there are no porters - there are a lot... More

We stayed 5 nights here in Jan 2012 in one of the Villas. The website sure makes it look like a high-class 5 star resort. Unfortunately, this is not really the case. After spending several nights at the Millenium Hilton in Bangkok, then arriving at Dara Samui (which was actually just as much if not more per night), we were... More
