Good position for access to Cognac,Saintes and Angouleme. Breakfast excellant. Well kept swimming pool. Downside.....No restaurant for evening meals but local facilities good. Disappointing that car park is not under surveillance and could do with a little repair. More

Beds were to hard, airconditioning made too much sound, snow on tv. The hotel was situated in an industry zone, so nothing interesting to see here. Breakfast was acceptable, good. I found the bed really uncomfortable -- too hard. The restaurant was so-so (usually Mercure hotels have really fine restaurants associated with them). The staff were friendly but really NOT bilngual (English/French). That was no problem for us as we speak French, but ... if you don't.
