We unfortunately only had 1 night at this lovely Chateau, but it was certainly one of the highlights of our 2 month trip around Europe. Our hostess Violenne was absolutely delightful and made us feel so welcome. The Chateau is set on 35 acres, so plenty of room for the children to run around. We loved our stay in this beautiful château nears Tours. A wonderful welcome from the charming countess, who cooks great meals, looks after 5 children and runs the hotel. We felt we were part of the family. We will return and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to share a unique experience. more
Chateau hotel near Tours. Lovely public rooms. Bedroom chairs uncomfortable. No proper shower. Breakfast O.K. Dinner very rich food. Friendly welcome. more
A bit of a surprise this one. A chateau up on a hill surrounded by lawns and flowers, just outside Tours. A really warm welcome from the hostess Violenne, who was fantastically helpful and utterly charming. The rooms are clean and very unusual, ours was in a tower. The bedroom was completely round, with patterened wallpaper and lots of chintz.... more
We loved staying at this beautiful guest house. Violaine welcomed us with true warmth and kindness. With 5 children the place has a family feel and we felt at times like a family friend rather than paying guests.
