If you want a discreet, well-run, quiet B & B with fabulous food and convenient hiking and sightseeing right outside your door, you will love this place. Probably not a good bet for young children because the overall ambience is quite formal, especially in the dining room. Rooms are spacious and very clean. The breakfast is deluxe, well worth the... I do not agree with previous reviewer that breakfast was pricey. We had lavish amounts of fresh fruit and breads together with fresh orange juice and choice of tea and coffeee. The yoghurts were accompanied with muesli and a delicious small vanilla flavoured rice pudding. There was a choice of jams honey and butter. You could have filled up on... More

Lovely clean hotel, but they lack in graciousness and hospitality. Breakfast is rather pricey, as is the norm in France, but they slam it down on the table with no questions asked. If you want something besides the yogurt and jam that is offered (i.e, cheese or ham or more coffee) you need to flag them down and you feel... More

Having dinner under the old trees in summertime is a very pleasant experience. Location is wonderful, the room was very charming, every detail was well thought out, had a little terrace, the pool is nice too. The restaurant was for myself a bit of a disappointment, but maybe I odered the wrong dishes, the dishes of my friends looked much... More

A charming, hotel which has been owned and run by the same family for generations. A lovely setting whatever the weather and excellent hospitality skills was shown by all members of staff. Our rooms were a little dated and poorly lit but were clean and comfortable and other areas of the hotels were clearly newly decorated so I expect that... More

The hotel and the service are excellent. We arrived at 15.00 hours without having had a lunch, and although the kitchen was closed a lunch was prepared. Rooms are very nice. WIFI reception for reception worked but we could not send out any emails. The restaurant is excellent and it worth its Michelin rating with an exception to the sommelier.... More

It was my first time in France and I found navigation a bit difficult without a GPS. However the hotel was amazing on many fronts. It's not for bargain hunters, but you will definitely get service for your money. The property was beautiful, they even had 2 lovely donkeys onsite. The staff was not able to lend an iron -... More

Our first stay on our cross country road trip of France was magical. The location is ideal for an afternoon and evening of good food and relaxation. Disneyland in America should visit this resort to get ideas for their theme parks. Everyone was friendly and helpful as we stopped to unload the car. Beautiful 2nd floor room overlooking Belcastel high... More

This fancy country inn is a wonderful secret, tucked against a rocky hillside with a chateau perched above, and small river gurgling by under the broken ruins of a roman bridge in front of the hotel. My girlfriend and I spend a few lovely nights here, including one evening dining on the fancy gastronmic experience of their high quality restaurant,... More

We made our reservations six months in advance, had our email confirmation in hand, but apparently that was not sufficient. We had been driving all day in anticipation of a lovely room and dinner, only to be told there must have been some mistake. In all our years of traveling , this was a first. Eventually, they obtained a room... More
