A quaint homely comfortable hotel with a great atmosphere. Situated on a steep street with lots of stairs to get about in the hotel so you need to be reasonably fit to enjoy this hotel. Rooms basic but comfortable and clean. Good continental breakfast served on a lovely terrace which is lively bar area in the evenings. One of the... More

Fantastic cosy secluded restaurant, lovely setting, a bit hit and miss on the menu, some very tasty, some not so tasty dishes, all very well presented.Service was great, all in all a good experiecne but te food was not the highlight unfortunately. Still the best place in Jimena by far. More

My husband and I spent 2 nights here in a small, cold and sparsely decorated room off the outside dining area. The room was clean but dark with small windows but the double bed was comfortable and there was hanging space for clothes. A small shower-room was adjacent through a partition wall. There was no tea or coffee making facilities.... More

Unusual, quaint, friendly. If you are looking for something a little out of the ordinary, this place fits the bill. We had an excellent meal there. More

First and foremost this place is a "hostel" - not a hotel, but actually not really a hostel either - so don't expect luxury but equally don't expect a hole! The owner, an american ex-pat by the sounds of her accent (sorry can't remember her name) was lovely - gave us tips of some nice beaches/places to eat etc. The... More

We had a four night stay after travelling from Puerto de Santa Maria, it was our first visit but will return. Suzanna, Gabriel and all the staff were friendly and very efficient. The Hostal was spotless and would put many 3* hotels to shame. The food was also excellent. We had to leave early morning to get our flight and... More

Arrived at the Hostal el Anon on a half board package, but will be telling the travel company what I think about them for booking us into this place. If you like your hotels dirty, with not enough hot water for two people to share a bath. Then this is the place to stay. Pathetic breakfast of bread and jam.... More

It took ages when we arrived to find someone who then showed my fiance to our room while I parked the car. He was given no information about the room or about the hotel. It is a total labynrinth and would have been helpful if it didn't take us forever to find the pool( through a no entry sign)or the... More

We ended up in Jimena because we wanted a bit of wild and exciting southern Spain. After 3 days in Marbella, we couldn't stand the tourist traps and the concrete anymore so we head towards Algeciras by car. It took us a while to find the street, calle Consuelo - steep with cobblestones, and we ended up parking in the... More
