My Husband and I stayed in the hotel for a night and the restaurant was exceptionally good. I believe they have a new, young chef who is producing some very good dishes. This chateau compares very badly with other chateaux standards - instead of emphasising its history it's gone the 'boutique hotel' route. The bedrooms vere very basic - did not even have shampoo/showergel, reception just told us they haven't got it! Building/surrounds and restaurant are 5 star, staff and rooms are at best 2 star. The Chateau is apparently 9th century but the first impression is marred by the strange modern art sclptures which dot the grounds and building.
