We stayed several days on St. Martin prior to venturing over to Anguilla. We took the ferry from Marigot. It was easily accomplished and lasted only about 18 minutes. No hassles at all. We arrived on Anguilla and found ourselves in a totally different kind of Caribbean. Everything on Anguilla seems to move more slowly and with a friendlier, more... More

We returned to Anacaona 9 months after our first visit. We stayed there Jan 24-31, 2012. our visit there in 2012 was just as nice as our visit in 2011. The new owners have been true to their word and improvements have been made from our last visit. First and foremost, our unit was one of the Superior (king size... More

Checked in on Jan 7 for a 11 night stay. First trip to Anguilla and the whole trip (including Anacaona) lived up to our high expectations. We traveled with our two teenage daughters so we reserved a two bedroom suite (Room 306, the Hughes Suite). The room was a stand alone building significantly separated from all other buildings. The suite... More

We have stayed 10 times in this charming home away from home. The character of the place draws us in each and every year and we love the people that we have met there who we consider liken to family. There is an ease, comfort, joy, and sensibility to the Anacaona that means "happy" to us. The new owners share... More

We arrived way too early to check in, but were greeted warmly, with a cool wet face towel and a cold rum punch. The hotel is a bit older but is very clean and well maintained, with a very nice garden/lawn area that leads to Meads Bay, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Think sugary white sand... Positives - The staff are excellent, helpful, cheery and do their best at all times with seemingly limited resources. It is very close to Meads Bay and a variety of restaurants. It is a good base from which to explore the Island. Negatives It is run down. The new owners attempts at renovation appear to have been undertaken on a... More

We had the most wonderful stay at the Anacaona and it was everything we thought it would be and more. The staff at the hotel were by far the nicest I have ever met. Everyone was so cheerful, friendly, pleasant and accommodating. The lobby and reception area were a great spot to meet other travelers and share stories and talk... More

We stayed at the Anacona Boutique for one night in late December. Although the web site says its been recently updated, its hard to see. Our room was a two bedroom "suite" which was an out building with several rooms connected by a screened in porch. All the rooms had live worms and some ants. One of the rooms had... More

We are so sorry that you only had one night to stay with us and experienced worms and ants in your room? This is not the norm for us but as you may know in the Caribbean ants can be a nuisance at times especially after a rain fall. We pride ourselves on Cleanliness and we also have in all... More

I stayed at the Anacaona from late November to early December. I enjoyed staying at Anacaona immensely and wish I could have stayed longer. My 1st five minutes at reception was memorable. I received a vanilla scented moist small towel from and a glass of rum punch. At that moment I knew was in for spectacular time at Anacaona. After... More

I recently spent a very nice long weekend here and must say that the hotel and staff were wonderful! Everyone was so polite and accommodating, it was really a welcome change from what I'm used to in the US. The property was just reopened from a period of renovation and each day more guests checked in...from adults to families with... More
