We stayed there for two nights for a wedding with a few other friends. We chose this as the tariff was reasonable. I've booked it via emails on behalf of a group of us and the owner could not be more helpful. We did not pay anything upfront and was only asked to give my bank card details. On the... More

Im very dissappointed to read your comments on Trip Advisor. As you are aware I am an independent operator and in todays current climate any negative comments are extremely disheartening, upsetting and possibly harmful to future business. Just to reply to some of the comments that were made: Matresses are a personal choice, all of the beds have good quality... More

This is a lovely historic old coaching inn in a smashing small town. We called in for Xmas lunch this week and by goodness it was excellent value because we had the OAP's menu for £10 a head for 3 courses. The portion size was smaller than normal but still good enough for us. The staff were very friendly and... More

I found this by chance when looking for post wedding accommodation and was pleasantly surprised. The combo of a very comfy room and superb traditional works very well and Brian the giant and Nic made me feel very welcome. More

Nicola, who runs this delightful informal ancient inn provides a spotlessly clean comfortable ensuite and serves a delicious cooked breakfast second to none. I felt very comfortable staying in this inn. Parts of its building go back as far as the 14th century. A great place to escape back in time. The locals were all friendly and helpful. More

I stayed at the Cross Keys at the start of September 2010 with my husband. We had a wonderful time at both the hotel and also the quaint town of Usk, everyone was really friendly, welcoming and accomodating. We could not fault the rooms, all of which looked as if they had been recently re decorated, equipped with fluffy towels... More

Usk is a pretty, small town just off the M50 / A449 route from England into S Wales and made a relaxing stopover in a busy schedule. The Cross Keys is an old Inn full of character in the centre of Usk but also has a large quiet car park. The room I had was freshly decorated, with a good... More

The hotel was presented beautifully, the food served at breakfast was of a good standard and we were initially very impressed by the room. On further inspection, however, things were not as they seemed. The room's facilities were disappointing. We soon discovered that the large, modern television did not work, and that we were unable to use the tea and... More
