I spent two nights in this hotel last week. Even if many reviews here weren't fantastic I decided to give it a go.
Location is good, close to Orosei town, and close to many nice beaches also sorrounded by lovely green hills. The resort is new and looks very nice, consists of various nice little houses built around a well...

Santa Maria Resort looks marvellous. You can see it from the road winding to Orosei and it seems to tell you - "that's the place".
Wrong!
Don't be mislead by the beautiful architecture of the resort, by the white sardinian houses in the green garden gathered around the swimming pool.

After having to leave a nearby hotel did not match web booking a drive south we saw a large swiming pool surrounded by units from a hill road. After finding the resort and blown away by the small very well finished units and the very friendly staff booked for the rest of our stay in Sardinia. Hard to find any...
