We were in a riders' group, two days one night touring Toscany, we choose this peaceful place for the hot pools, and we liked really a lot the spa, the view and the hotel furnitures! breakfast was also nicely served in a room over the swimming pool. I recommend it for all those who are in a trip visiting Toscany... More

This hotel was perfect as an overnight respite from busy touring in the region. Bravo-cinzia's Dec 10, 2010 review is still accurate as a great, detailed review. i would add: Staff are friendly and accommodating. We initially got a small room (great view!) with malfunctioning A/C. The staff apologetically upgraded us to a suite where everything worked perfectly. Meanwhile the... More

We visited just to swim in the thermal pools 15euro for the day. On our recent trip to Florence we made a day trip to Bagno Vignoni (about 1.5 hours south by car). We spent the bulk of our day relaxing here at the Hotel Posta Marcucci thermal pool.... The pool is fed by a natural hot spring. For 15... More

My parents used to take me to this hotel 30 years ago when I was a teenager and the place was run by two elderly sisters in pure Tuscan family style. It was a rare gem. Today their nephew took over and he did some nice renovations , but the hotel lost completely its charm. The pool is now open... More

If you are looking for an American-style luxury experience, please look for another place. One of the reasons that we love this small, family run hotel is that we hardly ever run into other Americans here. We are always looking for an authentic Italian experience. We love interacting with the Italian and European guests who also love it for about... More

A wonderful warm welcome from Simona the receptionist, her helpfulness was constant throughout our two night stay. Our room, 105, was a very good sized double, nice fresh bed linen with the usual extra blankets and pillows. The bathroom was a decent size with very powerful shower and plentiful hot water. We were supplied with some wonderfully fluffy white robes... More

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Posta Marcucci last year and found it a tired old place, way past its prime. Maybe some day some time in the past it was the place to go, to be seen but this hotel and spa is old, run down and overdue for a major upgrading. The rooms are basic and of... More

We spent 5 nights at the Marcucci, wooed by their enticing brochure which tells of how the hotel is family run, with the wmell of cake-baking on Fridays, etc, The brochure is a complete work of fiction! During our 5 nights we met no member of the family, there was an impersonality hardly imagineable, and we were struck - being... More

Beatiful hotel in a beautiful one-square town. The pool/hot springs are marvelous. Amazing food, amazing place.

The hotel is pretty good, comfortable, good spa areas but sometimes crowded with people who seem to park themselves in the choicest spots and stay there all day. Also don't expect the water in the thermal pools or even the jacuzzi to be hot -- warm or even very warm, but not what I usually think of for "hot springs"... More
