Rooms very well furnished and in good condition. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. An enjoyable stay in all areas - whether it be the bar lounge or restaurant. Excellent evening meal in the restaurant offering good value, good wine list and fine cuisine. A great place to stay for walking the neighbouring fells and mountains.

A very pleasant country house style hotel in beautiful surroundings. Good food and well-appointed bedrooms. Small enough to be friendly but large enough to be comfortable. Stayed for one night for D/B&B, very subjective...be sure of what to expect!!! Rooms...comfortable, clean, no TV, radio or Wi-Fi, there is a kettle though!
